In these last days, Be careful who you Follow

Guys, what’s up? I hope you all had a splendid week? Well, mine has been good, no matter what happened or happens, nothing can break me, lol. I’m not about to preach oh, but just saying.

Anyway, to the reason for this article, I want to talk about something I have noticed.

I have noticed that there are a lot of influencers, popular people who have a large following that are saying/writing things which influences people wrongly.

Truth is they may even be saying things that are good, but most often than not their teachings are not based on the Word of God.

I don’t even know how to put this, and I do not want to mention names, but in these last days, we have to be very careful the people we follow on social media, the people we listen to, and the people we share our problems with.

There’s a lot of wrong stuff out there and if you are not careful or discerning, you will be influenced wrongly all in the name of being “woke”.

The bible says in

1 John 4:1 NKJV, Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Test every spirit, not every advice you get that you should follow, before taking any advice be sure it has its basis on the Word of God. We have to be careful. I wrote here that the system of the world has been made to take God out of the equation.

Gbile akanni once said the reason why a lot of marriages are failing these days is because we have taken our marriages and put it in the hands of quack doctors. Doctors who have no foundation and root in the Word of God.

One of the most prominent tools the devil will utilize/or is utilizing is the Media. Media includes TV, social media, online media and the likes.

Be careful what you watch, what you see, what you hear and what you read, all these things greatly affects our faith and our spirituality.

There’s a lot of perversions right now, perversion in every sense of the word and in every way, we cannot afford to be careless.

The unfortunate thing is that a lot of people are gullible especially Christians, and easily influenced, swayed by every wind of doctrine.

It greatly saddens me how some of these popular influencers are perverting scripture and giving people blueprints which have no basis in scripture.

The bible says in

2 Timothy 4:3-5a, For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be aside to fables. But you must be watchful in all things.

I will implore us not to have itching ears, ears that only want to hear what they want to hear.

How do we protect ourselves from perverse and false teachings, let’s go back to God. We must have a relationship with God, study the Word, pray, walk with like-minded Christians.

We cannot afford to be careless, if you do not study the Word, someone else will do that for you but at the expense of your soul.

We must fight for our spirituality, fight for our relationship with God, fight for our faith, fight for the kingdom.

Time is running out on the devil and he is using every avenue available to him especially the tool of media and influence.

I will end this article with this scripture,

1 Peter 5:8, Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
