Are we Seriously doubting God?

This morning I read and saw something so disheartening and saddening. While on my usual browsing through Instagram, I came across a post. A young man had been involved in a ghastly motor accident but he came out alive with only a cut on his head. The man was thanking God for saving his life, but the comments that followed shocked me.

A lot of the commenters were saying he shouldn’t be thanking God for deliverance but the car company. Some were even using science to justify why he came out of the car alive. I couldn’t believe it.

Someone even said improved safety technique is what he should be crediting his survival for.

Here’s a Picture of the Car

I couldn’t believe it. When did we get to the point where we now doubt the workings of God, His miracles, His doings, even His EXISTENCE?

I really don’t know when we got to this point.

Even if it’s the car company that should be credited for improved safety standards, it is God who gave them the wisdom, not man.

Only a fool says there is no God. Only a fool! How can science explain how bones, teeth, legs, grew all out from a tiny seed. With all our science and technology, we have still not been able to solve every problem of mankind.

We are gradually drifting towards using our human little minds to figure out God, to reason Him out. If a certain thing doesn’t come across as logical, it is either impossible or downright fake.

I’m now asking myself, what could be the reason for all this? Do we no longer study our Bibles, do we no longer pray and communicate to God? Do we no longer have a hunger and a thirst for spiritual things?

What happened to us? What happened to been the light of the world? What happened to been the light in the midst of darkness? What happened to us been the leader and others will follow?

Honestly, I’m really heartbroken that we have gotten to the point where we doubt God. Maybe I shouldn’t be surprised after all Jesus said in the Last days will I still find Faith?

The truth is the times are getting very hard, we’ve gone through and still going through trying times, we sometimes pray and get no answer, we hope and believe for things but they never happen or we lose our patience altogether and seek alternatives, and sometimes hardships have a way of choking and suffocating our faith that we left dry and withered.

But Paul in Romans 8:35, says, Who shall separate us from the Love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Vs 37-39, Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Word of God says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV), No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Why am I saying all these? We have no excuse.

We’ve come to the last days, where there’s so much knowledge, so much technological advancement that we no longer see the need for God. It’s really unfortunate.

Ecclesiastes 7:16 (NKJV), Do not be overly righteous, Nor be overly wise: Why should you destroy yourself?

The above scripture aptly rounds up what is happening now. We’ve become overly wise and gradually destroying ourselves.

My reason for writing this article today is this if our generation is already doubting the existence of God, what will our children now say? What will they believe? If we do not guard our spirituality, our faith and our beliefs, what are we going to pass to down to future generations?

If there’s one prayer I always pray, its Father let no one in my lineage be an unbeliever. I think you too should pray that prayer.

It’s expedient that we preserve our Faith for our children, let Christianity not end with us. God forbid.

Genesis 18:19 (NKJV), For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”

My heart is saddened for the next generation, honestly, but please we can do something about it.

God exists and He will continue to exist. Every technological advancement, He gave man the wisdom to do it.

The devil made the system of the world in such a way that it was designed to function without God, a system made to take God out of the equation.

In everything we do, let’s be conscious of the fact that the world system in which we live in has already been programmed to remove God out of it.
