Good morning people. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend? This past week was the busiest I have ever had. We had a programme in church; weddings, graduations and Thanksgiving all in one week and all these events must go with cake.

Every day of the week we baked, some days I slept at 3:30 am, another day I slept at 5 am to wake by 6 am. It was stressful but I’m happy at the beautiful work of art we made. I will be posting pictures of the different cakes we made.

On Saturday I almost fainted in church. This is something that has never happened to me. I had slept at 3:30 am, and I was to be in church at 7 am. I hadn’t eaten and as an usher, you have to stand. At about 12 pm, while still standing on duty, I suddenly began to feel dizzy, next my eyes were turning, I was seeing circles, seeing human beings as circles, I started feeling cold and chills all over my body. Honestly, it was strange, at first I was like what is happening, I thought it go away with time but for where.

Immediately I knew I had to leave where I was. How I was able to walk to a sit and not fall is just God. If I had stood much longer I would have fainted. I drank a bottle of water and came back to my position thinking I would be ok, but it started again and I was advised to look for something to drink. I then drank a can of malt and I felt much better. With that can of malt, I was able to complete the rest of my duty.

I got home that day at 8 pm and I still hadn’t done my sister’s cake. Relying on my mother’s help, I relaxed. Unknown to me the woman had other plans; I ended up doing the cake alone and went to bed at 5 am, and woke up at 6:50 am. I thought I wouldn’t be able to make it throughout the day but I did. I had a lovely time celebrating my sister’s graduation.

I’m looking forward to this week to relax.

I wish you all a non-stressful and a productive week, by the way, Happy New Month.
