A fewweeks ago I was watching a fashion show (you know all these shows where people who had a terrible sense of style are transformed). That particular episode was about a lady in her thirties who still dresses like a teenager, she came on the show for help so she could secure a date.
Anyway,at the end of the whole process, the stylists put her in one stunning Red dress. The dress transformed her; it was hard to believe it was the same person. They way she looked really beautiful and confident; I told myself I needed a Red dress in my life (lol).
Like two (2) days later, as I was returning home from work, I saw another lady in red and she was beautiful. I was like is the Lord confirming this want of a Red dress? lol. Anyway, I just forgot all about it.
You guys would not believe the very next day; the lady I buy my clothes from came to my office with a RED DRESS, not just a Red dress but a SPECTACULAR RED DRESS. I couldn’t believe it, she said when saw it, I was the one she got it for. My people, the dress is stunning, I couldn’t wait to rock it. I eventually did last Sunday, and if I must say so myself, I was RADIANTLY BEAUTIFUL.
What’s the point of this post? The Lord is very mindful of us. He hears even the silent groaning of our heart. He’s interested in every detail of our lives. I didn’t pray for a Red dress, I just wanted it. Recently I had started feeling like He’s forgotten me but He brought that dress just to remind me that He’s there, He’s not forgotten me.
You know it’s very easy most times to say God has forgotten us, but it’s not true. The bible says “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you”. Hebrews 13:5b (NIV).
Your prayers may not be getting answered, but it’s not because He’s not hearing, but there’s an appointed time for everything.
The man that God would use is the man that would have to go through the FIRE so that impurities would be burnt out. Everyone’s fire is different, but it presents itself in difficulties, challenges, hardships, wilderness experiences. The truth is some of us would never mature, never be who God wants us to be if we never go through suffering.
“Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colours. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way”. James 1:2-3 MSG
Are you about throwing in the towel? Please do not do that. Please do not give up. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up”Galatians 6:9 NIV
